Georgia Tech's 2024 Class Up To 24th in 247 Rankings After Latest Commitment

Tech's class is currently 24th in the country and 7th in the ACC

It is still early in the recruiting process, but Georgia Tech holds a top-25 class for 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Now, 247 is just one site, but they have been very accurate in recent years and among the most trusted. On3 recruiting has GT at 33 and Rivals has them 31st

Brent Key and his staff have been relentless at getting top targets and prospects on campus and with the cycle just kicking into gear, that could be a promising sign for what the next few months hold as far as getting more 2024 prospects.

Tech's class is also 7th in the ACC behind Florida State, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Clemson, Pittsburgh, and Miami. The Yellow Jackets have a higher avg ranking than Wake Forest, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Miami. In the ACC, they only trail Louisville, Florida State, Clemson, NC State, and Virginia Tech.

The last top 25 recruiting class for Georgia Tech on 247Sports came in 2007 and that class ranked 15th and had standouts like Josh Nesbitt, Derrick Morgan, Jonathan Dwyer, Morgan Burnett, and Roddy Jones.

Recruiting is going to be how Brent Key tries to form Georgia Tech back into a winner and he still has a lot of work to do, but it is not a bad start for him and the rest of the Yellow Jackets staff, who deserve credit for the nice start.

The 2024 class for Georgia Tech is headlined by four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams (Macon, GA). Williams has been the building block for Key in this class and is going to be the quarterback of the future for the Yellow Jackets.
