Updated ACC Recruiting Rankings: 8/11

Florida State might be trying to get out of the ACC, but they are currently dominating the rest of the conference when it comes to recruiting.

Mike Norvell and his staff picked up one of the biggest commitments of the 2024 cycle when they landed the top safety in the country, KJ Bolden (Buford, GA). Norvell has Florida State sitting with a top-five class in the entire country and the best in the ACC.

Georgia Tech still remains in 5th after picking up their 26th commitment, defensive lineman Marcus Downs. Downs was pursued by other programs in the conference, including Miami. He is a talented player and part of what is a nice defensive line class for Brent Key and the Yellow Jackets. GT still trails North Carolina by a narrow margin for the 4th spot in the ACC.

Clemson is still in that second spot in the conference, but they are quickly falling behind Florida State. The Tigers still have a nice class, but they have work to do if they want to catch FSU.

Miami is on an island by itself in third place in the ACC. The Hurricanes have a good class and also have some distance between North Carolina. The bad news for Miami is that they have missed out on some of their top targets recently. Five-star defensive end Colin Simmons picked Texas over Miami and LSU and five-star defensive tackle Kamarion Franklin seems to be trending toward Auburn after a recent 247 Crystal Ball Prediction. It is a good class for Mario Cristobal and Miami, but not as good as they had hoped right now.

North Carolina has been building a nice class and still sits in 4th place in the conference recruiting standings.

6-8 remained the same this week as Virginia Tech, Duke, and Pitt are all grouped together closely and hope to catch Georgia Tech for the No. 5 spot at some point.

A slight change happened this week with spots 9-11. Syracuse got a nice commitment from three-star tight end Elijah Washington and that allowed them to jump into No. 9. NC State lept up a couple of spots from No. 12 and is now 10th, while Wake Forest dropped to 11th.

Louisville, Virginia, and Boston College make up spots 12-14. UVA picked up a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Dane Wleklinski this week.
