Georgia Tech Releases Depth Chart Ahead of North Carolina Game

Georgia Tech faces North Carolina at home this Saturday

Georgia Tech is preparing for its big matchup with No. 17 North Carolina this week and after Brent Key meets with the media on Tuesday, the depth chart is released.

Nothing changed today and the depth chart was released and for the depth chart itself, nothing changed.

At quarterback, Haynes King remains the starter. King had a fantastic start to his season, but he has become a lot more turnover-prone in the last three games, throwing seven interceptions. King has to cut down on the turnovers for Georgia Tech to have a chance on Saturday.

At running back, the depth chart has the "or" designation on it for Dontae Smith, Jamal Haynes, and Trey Cooley. It has been that way for the season and Haynes and Cooley continue to lead the team on Saturday in terms of carries.

At wide receiver, Malik Rutherford is the only guy that is without an "or" designation. The other spots will be either Dominick Blaylock or Abdul Janneh at the "X" receiver and either Eric Singleton Jr or Chase Lane at the
"Z" receiver. Last week, Singleton did not play due to an illness according to head coach Brent Key, and Lane only played one snap per PFF after working his way back from injury.

Dylan Leonard is listed as the starting tight end, but he will be splitting reps with Luke Benson and Brett Seither.

The offensive line saw no changes. Ethan Mackenny, Joe Fusile, Weston Franklin, Connor Scaglione, and Jordan Williams are listed as the starters. Williams played 26 snaps last week according to PFF and Jakiah Leftwich saw some time at right tackle.

The defensive depth chart also saw no changes.

Eddie Kelly is listed as a starter at the end, with Makius Scott and Zeek Biggers on the inside. Either Kyle Kennard or Kevin Harris will be the starter at the "rush"position.

Paul Moala and Trenilyas Tatum are listed as the starters at linebacker.

In the secondary, K.J. Wallace is listed as the starter at nickel, with Ahmari Harvey and Myles Sims at cornerback. Harvey had an interception last week against Boston College.

LaMiles Brooks is listed as the starter at strong safety and the free safety will either be Clayton Powell-Lee or Jaylon King.

Aidan Birr is listed as the starter at kicker and David Shanahan is listed as the starter at punter.

Georgia Tech vs North Carolina kicks off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night on ACC network.
