Betting odds for Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Pacific Tigers WCC men's basketball game

Bulldogs open as 30.5-point favorites over the Tigers

The Gonzaga Bulldogs look to take care of business on Saturday when they host a Pacific Tigers squad that's still seeking its first win in West Coast Conference play this season.

Gonzaga (19-6, 9-2 WCC) narrowly covered the spread (-15.5) in its 91-74 win at Loyola Marymount on Thursday. The Bulldogs closed the game on a 19-3 scoring run after it was a 1-point game midway through the second half, as Will Johnston's 33 points kept the Lions in the fight for much of the night. Graham Ike led with 23 points, Nolan Hickman added 22 and Gonzaga scored 23 points off 12 turnovers.

The Bulldogs lead the WCC in scoring (85.2 points, fifth in NCAA Division-I), field goal percentage (50.9%, second in the nation) and rebounds per game (40.4). They're 14-0 when scoring 80 or more points, 13-0 when shooting 50% or better from the field and 16-0 when shooting at least 30% from behind the 3-point line.

Defensively, Gonzaga is third in the WCC in points allowed (68.6 points) and second in field goal percentage (40.1%). The Bulldogs have allowed 80 or more points just twice this season (1-1 in those games) and are 15-1 when holding opponents to shoot 45% or worse from the field. Gonzaga has a +8.8 average rebounding margin on the season, second-best in the league.

Pacific (6-21, 0-12 WCC) has not beaten a Division-I opponent since a 68-65 overtime win over Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 26. The Tigers are last in the WCC in scoring (64.8 points), field goal percentage (41.7%), 3-pointers made (6.7 per game) and in rebounds per game (27.1).

Judson Martindale leads the team with 9.7 points per game. Moe Odum averages 4.8 assists per game, second in the WCC behind Ryan Nembhard (6.1 per game).

Gonzaga outlasted Pacific in the first meeting this season, 82-73, in Stockton, California. All five starters for the Bulldogs finished in double figures, led by Graham Ike's 20 points. Nolan Hickman had 19 points and three 3-pointers, while Anton Watson had a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double.

The Bulldogs are 12-12 against the spread according to covers.com and have covered in the last three games. They've covered in seven of their 11 WCC games but are just 6-6 ATS when favored at home. Gonzaga failed to cover the 24.5-point spread earlier this season against Pacific.

The Tigers are 5-20 ATS this season and 3-9 in WCC games. Three of the five games they've covered have come as underdogs on the road.

Though Gonzaga has won the last 20 straight-up over Pacific, each team has covered five times in the last 10 head-to-head meetings. The Bulldogs covered the last time the spread was 30 points or more back in 2022, when they won 89-51 at home.
