The No. 11 Gonzaga Bulldogs take on the No. 6 UConn Huskies in the Continental Tire Seattle Tip-Off on Dec. 15 at Climate Pledge arena.
The rematch of last season's West Regional Final of the NCAA Tournament features a handful of new faces on both sides. The Zags hit the transfer portal hard, landing three impactful newcomers in Steele Venters (Eastern Washington), Ryan Nembhard (Creighton) and Graham Ike (Wyoming). Mark Few also got late commitments from foreigners Luka Krajnovic (Croatia) and Pavle Stosic (Serbia). Korean forward Jun Seok Yeo and four-star freshman Dusty Stromer are also set to make their Gonzaga debuts.
UConn welcomes a top-five recruiting class headlined by Stephon Castle (No. 9 recruit in the 2023 class on 247Sports). Rutgers transfer Cam Spencer, who led the Scarlet Knights in scoring at 13.2 points per game, looks to have an immediate impact alongside returners Tristen Newton, Alex Karaban and Donovan Clingan.
The matchup at Climate Pledge Arena is the first of a multiyear series between Gonzaga and UConn. The teams will also play at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2024-25.
