NBA mock drafts: Gonzaga's Julian Strawther to the Indiana Pacers?

Strawther is projected to go in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft

Julian Strawther will find out his NBA destination in just over a week. Until then, speculation is rampant as to where the former Gonzaga men's basketball forward will land.

The latest NBA mock drafts have the 6-foot-6 Strawther being selected anywhere from the top of the second round by the Indiana Pacers to the middle of the second round by the Atlanta Hawks.

Strawther is coming off a junior season at Gonzaga where he averaged 15.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and shot 40.8% from the 3-point line. He finished with double-digit rebounds in seven games, including a career-high 14 boards in an 88-72 win over then-No. 4 Kentucky.

On defense, Strawther possesses the length and athleticism to stay in front of high-level guards and wings. At the NBA Draft Combine, his wingspan was measured at 6’9.25” (11th among small forwards) and his standing reach came in at 8’9.00” (tied for 3rd among small forwards).

Here's a look at where Strawther is projected to be picked with just over a week to go until the draft:

  • NBADraft.net has Strawther being drafted near the top of the second round - pick No. 32 - by the Indiana Pacers.
  • Yahoo! Sports has Strawther being drafted No. 33 overall by the San Antonio Spurs.
  • The Ringer has Strawther being drafted No. 46 overall by the Atlanta Hawks.
