Drew Timme may not have been one of the 58 players to hear his name called during the NBA Draft last month, but the former Gonzaga All-American didn't have to wait long to find his new home.

Just hours after the last pick of the draft was announced, Timme joined Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks as an undrafted free agent, signing a minimum contract that can be converted to a two-way deal prior to the start of the season

Now, he will have a chance make his NBA debut and potentially earn a roster spot when the Bucks kick off their NBA Summer League schedule in Las Vegas this week.

As a senior, Timme averaged 21.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He also became Gonzaga’s all-time leading scorer and was named CBS National Player of the Year.

Despite all the accolades, Timme still went undrafted as many experts and analysts questioned his physical profile and his lack of a 3-point shot during the predraft process.

Timme will have either five or six games to demonstrate his value and prove he is a good fit for the Bucks with all NBA teams playing at least five Summer League games.

After each team has played its first four games, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs consisting of a semifinal and championship matchup.

The two teams that advance to the championship will play a sixth and final game.

On top of trying to earn a roster spot, Timme might have some extra motivation in his first game in an NBA uniform as the Bucks kick off their Summer League schedule against the Denver Nuggets and former Gonzaga teammate Julian Strawther.
