Will Gonzaga's Dusty Stromer be the best freshman in the West Coast Conference?

The former four-star recruit could play a crucial role off the bench for the Bulldogs in the 2023-24 season

In a conference with so many experienced players across the board, Gonzaga Bulldogs freshman Dusty Stromer has a chance to stand out from the rest of the league's first-year talent.

A four-star recruit and ranked 62nd overall in the 2023 class, Stromer enters the 2023-24 college basketball season as the highest-ranked freshman in the West Coast Conference. The 6-foot-6 Notre Dame High School (California) product has the versatility to be a guard or a wing with his ability to score from multiple areas and his feel for the game. He's a competitor on the defensive end of the floor as well, a trait that will earn him meaningful minutes under Mark Few.

Stromer's exact role with Gonzaga isn't quite clear yet, as the Zags boast an abundance of unproven depth at multiple positions, though he's one of the many names to track around the WCC.

Former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau makes his predictions around the WCC with the new season just around the corner on the latest episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast.
