SPOKANE - The Gonzaga men's basketball team had much to celebrate on Thursday night.
Drew Timme scored his 2,000th career point - putting him in elite company - and the Zags beat Santa Clara 88-70 to set up a nationally-ranked showdown with Saint Mary's.
No. 12 Gonzaga (18-4, 8-1 WCC) will travel to Moraga, California on Saturday to face the No. 18 Gaels (20-4, 9-0 WCC) with first place in the West Coast Conference on the line.
