Nikolas Khamenia to visit Gonzaga during Kraziness in the Kennel

Khamenia, a 6-foot-7 wing, is one of the Zags' top targets in the class of 2025

Mark Few and the Gonzaga men's basketball coaching staff have been busy on the recruiting trail.

One of their top class of 2025 targets is Harvard-Westlake (California) product Nikolas Khamenia, who will take his official visit to Gonzaga on Oct. 6. Khamenia will be in attendance for the Zags' annual Kraziness in the Kennel event for the second consecutive season.

Khamenia took an unofficial visit to Gonzaga last October to attend Kraziness in the Kennel.

"I took a trip up there, met all of the coaches," Khamenia said to Rivals.com. "Coach Mark Few is a really good dude. He talked to my dad a lot. It’s a really good coaching staff, really good players, really good facilities and a really good campus as well. It’s a small, nice community. I saw the Kraziness in the Kennel, so I got to see the whole vibe of the arena. It was nice.”

Since that unofficial visit, Khamenia received interest from programs all around the country while he led Harvard-Westlake to the CIF (California) Open Division state championship. The 6-foot-7 wing was named to the All-Mission League second team following a breakout sophomore season and will enter the 2023-24 basketball season as a top-10 small forward in his recruiting class according to 247Sports.

In addition to Gonzaga, Khamenia has fielded offers from UCLA, Kansas, Iowa, UNLV, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Stanford and Nebraska.

Khamenia likely won't be the only recruit to be in attendance for Kraziness in the Kennel, as plenty of past recruits have taken their official visits to Gonzaga during the annual event. In addition to Khamenia, the coaching staff has reportedly been in contact with 2025 recruits Isiah Harwell (Wasatch Academy, Utah) and Asa Newell (Montverde Academy, Florida) in recent weeks.
