Donald Driver, Driven Elite Partners With Delaware State

Donald Driver has announced a partnership between his company, Driven Elite, and the athletic department of Delaware State University. According to the DSU Athletics department, Driven Elite, the company of the HBCU legend, will provide state-of-the-art sports-specific performance and wellness programs for nineteen men's and women's sports programs at Delaware State. The team at Driven Elite will bring together resources for student-athletes and provide top-notch programming that covers everything from athletic conditioning to nutrition and mental health wellness.
"I am excited to bring this award-winning training experience to Delaware State University. I am especially excited because Delaware State is an HBCU, which is something I care deeply about. I'm an HBCU graduate, and I earned my way into the NFL with minimal resources available to me. I'm striving to provide a broad platform for the DESU student-athletes to have stellar collegiate experiences by providing top-notch performance training, stress, mental health management training, specialized nutrition programming, and holistic wellness." President and CEO Donald Driver said.
Director of Athletics Alecia Shields-Gadson noted, "I look forward to embarking upon this new chapter for the department partnered with Driven Elite. This next phase for us aligns perfectly with Delaware State's vision of being the most progressive HBCU in the country."
Donald Driver, 48, is a native of Houston, Texas, and graduated from Alcorn State University. The Green Bay Packers picked him as the 213th overall selection in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played in five Pro Bowls on the Packers Super Bowl XLV winning team. Driver received the honor of being inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and the Black College Football Hall of Fame.
During his time at Alcorn State, Driver made 88 pass receptions, resulting in 1,993 yards. In the NFL, he caught 743 receptions for 10,137 yards and 61 touchdowns.
