VITALS: Illinois guard Terrence Shannon was recently named Big Ten Player of the week. He earned the award after averaging 29.0 points on 54.8 percent shooting from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range, and 85.7% from the free throw line while leading the Illini to a home victory over Michigan and road win at Maryland. The Illini are coming off a loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions after blowing a late lead. Iowa and Illinois will face off against one another twice in a 15-day stretch, as the Hawkeyes host the Illini on March 10 in the regular season finale. Iowa is looking for its first win at the State Farm Center since 2018 and its second ranked victory in seven days.
