MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Indiana plays its final regular season road game of the season on Wednesday at Minnesota.

A win would complete the season sweep for Indiana over Minnesota, following the Hoosiers' 74-62 win in January. Indiana is coming off an 83-78 win at Maryland on Sunday, while the Golden Gophers defeated Penn State 75-70 on Saturday.

Meet the coaches

  • Ben Johnson, Minnesota: Johnson is in his third season at Minnesota with a 39-49 overall record and a 14-41 record in Big Ten play. Minnesota finished 13th and 14th in the Big Ten in Johnson's first two seasons and has not qualified for any postseason tournament. Prior to earning his first head coaching job at Minnesota, Johnson was an assistant at Xavier, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northern Iowa and Texas-Pan American. He played at Northwestern and Minnesota from 1999-2004.
  • Mike Woodson, Indiana: Woodson is in his third season at Indiana with a 60-39 overall record and a 29-29 mark in regular season Big Ten play. Woodson has NBA head coaching experience with the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-10 and the New York Knicks from 2012-14. Woodson played at Indiana University from 1976-80, and was named the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player as a senior under coach Bob Knight. He was the 12th overall pick in the 1980 NBA Draft, and played for various teams from 1980-91, averaging 14 points over 786 games.
