Coaches hot on the recruiting trail

Indiana coaches have been hitting the recruiting hard lately, still hoping to add a few more pieces to the 2020 class. IU has three verbal commitments thus far, from 4-stars Anthony Leal and Jordan Geronimo and 3-star Trey Galloway.

The IU staff was spotted in Evansville Wednesday, talking with junior 5-star point guard Khristian Lander of Evansville Reitz. Point guard is a huge priority for the Hoosiers, especially since they still don't have any point guard commits in this class.

Lander is the only 5-star recruit in Indiana in the 2021 class, and is ranked No. 16 overall in the 247Sports composite rankings.

IU coach Archie Miller watched point guard Hassan Diarra on Wednesday and he's still getting a long look from the Hoosiers. The 6-foot-2 point guard is the No. 11-ranked point guard in the country.

Dawson Garcia, a 4-star 6-foot-11 power forward from Prior Lake, Minn., also got an in-home visit this.
