Indiana Predicted To Land 4-Star Guard Daquan Davis

Daquan Davis, a four-star guard in the class of 2024, was the Washington, D.C. Player of the Year, according to Max Preps last season.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – On3 senior national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw logged a prediction Thursday for Daquan Davis to commit to Indiana.

Shaw is 265-for-302 on all-time predictions, good for an 87.5% hit rate.

Davis is a 6-foot-1, 173-pound guard in the class of 2024. A Baltimore, Md. native, he's ranked No. 89 in the nation by 247 Sports, No. 119 by On3 and No. 120 by Rivals.

As a junior, Davis was named the Washington, D.C. Player of the Year by Max Preps while playing for St. John's College High School. He previously attended St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, where he was teammates with fellow Indiana recruiting target Derik Queen as a freshman. Davis and Queen also played together for Team Thrill on the Under Armour AAU circuit.

During the fall of 2023, Davis played for Overtime Elite in Atlanta, Ga., where he averaged 13.7 points, 5.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds in nine preseason games. Davis has now transferred back to St. Frances for his senior year.

He originally committed to Providence on June 24, 2023, a few months after the school hired new head coach Kim English. But Davis reopened his recruitment on Oct. 29, 2023.

"I want to thank the Providence family and coaching staff for the amazing time I had while being committed," Davis posted on X. "After deep conversations with my family, I decided to reopen my recruitment and decommit from Providence College."

Indiana currently has one commitment in the class of 2024, five-star small forward Liam McNeeley out of Montverde Academy in Florida. Indiana also made the final four list for five-star center Derik Queen, who's teammates with McNeeley at Montverde and also considering Maryland, Houston and Kansas.

In October, Indiana coach Mike Woodson and staff missed out on one of their top recruiting targets in class of 2024, Boogie Fland. The five-star point guard picked Kentucky over Indiana and Alabama. After not landing Fland, Davis appears to be Indiana's next target among guards.

Davis does not have a list of final schools, and it is currently unknown when he will announce his college decision.
