Live Blog: Follow Indiana Women's Basketball Senior Day Game Against Maryland in Real Time

It's senior day at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the Indiana women's basketball team, which takes on Maryland at 3 p.m. ET. Follow all the action here with our live blog, where we'll post updates, highlights and thoughts on the game from press row.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana wraps up the regular season against Maryland on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET inside Assembly Hall.

It's also senior day, the final regular season home game for Indiana's all-time leading scorer Mackenzie Holmes, Sara Scalia and Arielle Wisne. Given Indiana's No. 14 ranking, though, it could still host NCAA Tournament games this season, depending how today's game, the Big Ten Tournament and other factors across the country shake out.

The Hoosiers are coming off an 84-64 win over Northwestern on Tuesday, while the Terrapins won 79-63 at home against Wisconsin on Thursday.

Welcome to our live blog, where we'll share updates, highlights and thoughts on the game from Assembly Hall.

4:53 p.m. – Final: Indiana 71, Maryland 54. Scalia and Garzon combined for 38 points and made 8-of-16 3-point attempts. Hoosiers held Maryland to its second-fewest points of the season on 28.4% shooting. Holmes and Meister left the game with injuries. Big Ten Tournament next.

4:48 p.m. – Senior Arielle Wisne checks into the game now with 1:04 left. Assembly Hall cheers loudly on senior day.

4:47 p.m. – Mackenzie Holmes has emerged from the tunnel under her own power. No crutches, but still has the brace on her left knee that she had been wearing all game.

4:40 p.m. – And now Lilly Meister leaves the game. She landed awkwardly on her left leg after going up for a layup. IU going with a much smaller lineup than normal: Moore-McNeil, Bargesser, Scalia, Parrish, Garzon.

4:38 p.m. – Lamendola hit the deck hard after colliding with Sellers, who was called for the foul. She hit one-of-two free throw attempts. IU still leads 62-46.

4:33 p.m. – Parrish misses a fadeaway jumper, but Bargesser flew in for the offensive rebound and put-back. Strong finish from the sophomore guard. Lamendola and Garzon set to check in after the timeout, with IU leading 61-44.

4:30 p.m. – Moore-McNeil checks out for freshman Lenee Beaumont. She's got four fouls, but her day could be over with 6:30 left given IU's 17-point lead. Moore-McNeil shot just 1-for-7 from the field and missed all four 3-point attempts, but added eight assists and six rebounds and made all four free throw attempts.

4:27 p.m. – Indiana is playing zone defense now, an adjustment that might be a product of Holmes' injury. Or Moren is choosing to do that because Maryland has shot the ball poorly all day. Through about four minutes without Holmes, IU still leads 57-40.

4:22 p.m. – IU leads Maryland 55-39 at the end of the third quarter. Maryland is shooting just 31.4% today.

4:19 p.m. – Mackenzie Holmes walked with a limp after being fouled at the 1:20 mark of the third quarter. She's in the tunnel with trainers.

4:16 p.m. – Indiana has averaged over 10,000 fans for women's games at Assembly Hall this season, only the third time any school has done that in the history of Big Ten women's basketball.

4:13 p.m. – Parrish backs her defender all the way down to the restricted area, then hits the turnaround jumper. IU is having its lowest-scoring quarter of the game so far, but Maryland's offense is doing nothing to challenge this game's outcome. Hoosiers lead 52-35.

4:02 p.m. – Moore-McNeil gets a steal, then slices through the Maryland defense before assisting Parrish on a layup. It's been a really, really ugly day for the Maryland offense, which is shooting just 29.3% from the field with eight turnovers.

3:59 p.m. – Garzon spins through the lane and uses soft touch to hit the layup. I'd have to see the replay, but looked like she might have traveled in real time. Officials didn't call it, though, so it counts the same. Scalia stays hot with a corner three on the following possession. IU leads 44-29.

3:57 p.m. – The second half has begun at Assembly Hall, and Moore-McNeil is called for a foul on the first possession, her first. She hasn't scored today but has six assists.

3:43 p.m. – Halftime: Indiana 39, Maryland 24. Impressive shooting display from Scalia and Garzon, combining to make 7-of-11 3-point attempts. Brutal half for Maryland, shooting 28.6% from the field.

3:37 p.m. – Using a few long-distance passes, Indiana breaks Maryland's press easily and finds a wide-open Scalia for another three. Assisted by Bargesser on the next possession, Scalia knocks down her third three. She has 14 points on 3-for-4 2-point shooting. Meanwhile, Maryland's offense has been abysmal. IU leads 39-18 with 2:10 left in the half.

3:30 p.m. – Garzon is officially on fire, knocking down yet another three. IU leads 33-16 with 4:30 left in the second quarter.

3:28 p.m. – Garzon hits her third 3-pointer of the game, this one coming from the right wing. She's 3-for-5 on 3-point attempts today and is tied with Holmes for the team lead in points with nine. IU leads 30-16.

3:26 p.m. – Nice ball movement from Indiana isolates Sydney Parrish on the wing and gives her an easy path for a layup. Holmes finishes inside on the next possession. IU leads 25-16.

3:21 p.m. – Indiana leads 21-14 at the end of the first quarter. Scalia hit a three to stop Maryland's 12-0 run, which cut the lead to just two points. Indiana shot 62% that quarter, compared to 26% for Maryland.

3:17 p.m. – Now it's a 12-0 run for Maryland, with free throws from Sellers, another 3-pointer for Brown-Turner and a jumper from Alexander. Indiana's defense played really solid the first five minutes, but it's given up some open looks lately. Garzon missed two good looks at threes, as well. IU leads 16-14.

3:15 p.m. – Two quick baskets from Maryland out of the timeout trim Indiana's lead to 16-7. One was a 3-pointer from Brown-Turner, the other a layup from Fisher. Indiana has gone to its bench now, with Lilly Meister and Lexus Bargesser in the game.

3:09 p.m. – Moore-McNeil drives hard, then makes a smart decision to kick it out to Garzon as the lane clogged up. Garzon was left open on the left wing and knocked down the 3-point attempt. After a stop, Scalia took it strong to the basket and finished through a foul. She makes the free throw, too. Great start for IU, leading 13-2.

3:07 p.m. – Indiana getting a little sloppy now. Moore-McNeil turned it over on an entry pass to Holmes, then Garzon was called for a traveling. The two turnovers only cost IU one basket, though, and Holmes finished an and-one on the following possession. Hoosiers lead 7-2 with 6:50 left in the first quarter.

3:05 p.m. – Scalia shows off her ball-handling skills, beating her defender off the dribble and finishing a floater off the glass. IU leads 4-0 early.

3:03 p.m. – Maryland wins the tip, and we're underway from Assembly Hall. After a defensive stop, Parrish puts Indiana on the board with a layup.

2:53 p.m. – Cool moment pregame, as Indiana senior Arielle Wisne sang the national athem.

2:43 p.m. – Indiana's starters today are Chloe Moore-McNeil, Sara Scalia, Sydney Parrish, Yarden Garzon and Mackenzie Holmes.
