Iowa Football added its 10th known verbal commitment in the 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday. Saint Charles (IL) East High offensive lineman Bodey McCaslin announced his intention to be a Hawkeyes on social media.

McCaslin (6-5, 270) spoke with HN after Iowa offered him a scholarship this Spring following a campus visit. He also reported offers from Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and others.

"I was impressed by the coaching staff," he told HN last month. "I really like the people that are there."

The Hawkeyes played host to him again on Monday. He also visited for a game in the Fall. He's bonded with offensive line coach George Barnett.

"Coach Barnett really likes to make it known to me that I am one of his guys. He loves my family, how I was raised and how aggressive I am on the field," McCaslin said in April.

Rivals, 247Sports and On3 all rank McCaslin as a three-star prospect. On3 views him as the No. 28 offensive tackle nationally in the '24 class, while 247 places him 62nd.
