Rock Rapids (IA) Central Lyon/George-Little Rock High won a Class 2A football state championship last fall. The Lions boasted some high-end talent on that squad.

Quarterback Zach Lutmer recently enrolled at Iowa as a member of its 2023 recruiting class. Monday, the Hawkeyes added another Central Lyon standout to its squad.

Class of '24 defensive back Graham Eben announced he was pledging to the Hawkeyes. They also played host to '24 Lion receiver Reece Vander Zee, who is down to Iowa and Iowa State.

Eben became the 14th known verbal commitment in Iowa's '24 Class. He also reported scholarship offers from South Dakota State, South Dakota, North Dakota State and Eastern Michigan.

The IPSWA/IFCA committee named Eben a first-team all-state running back after last season. He rushed for 1,330 yards (8.1 YPC) and 19 touchdowns. He intercepted four passes on defense and returned two punts for scores.

247Sports ranks Eben as a two-star recruit. The scouting service sees him as the No. 22 overall prospect in Iowa for '24.
