Kentucky lands the commitment of former North Texas receiver Ja'Mori Maclin

Ja'Mori Maclin committed to Kentucky and will have an instant impact for the Cats.

The Kentucky Wildcats just landed the commitment of receiver Ja'Mori Maclin, who started his career at Missouri and then played his most recent two seasons for the North Texas Mean Green.

Last season for the Mean Green, Maclin caught 57 passes for 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He is ranked as the 66th-best player in the portal and is a huge offensive get for Mark Stoops and Liam Coen.

Stoops and Coen were unhappy with Kentucky's offense in 2023, so they improved it by bringing in a talented quarterback in Brock Vandagriff (number 25 player in the portal), running back Chip Trayanum from Ohio State (number 93 player in the portal), and receiver Raymond Cottrell from Texas A&M (number 79 player in the portal) to go with Maclin.

The Cats are loading up on the offensive side of the football to fix the issues from a season ago, and they are doing it with some talented players.

Maclin will come in and start for the Cats the minute he walks on campus and could be a 1,000-yard receiver next season if he is as good as the tape says.

Coen and Stoops are killing it in the transfer portal early, and this Kentucky team is already looking dangerous for next season.
