Kentucky basketball enters the 2023-24 season with a lot of hype after what was a rollercoaster of an offseason.

If the Wildcats are fully healthy to begin their November non-conference slate, they should be much more competitive against solid competition than they were a season ago.

The SEC schedule will be as difficult as ever, however.

We asked ChatGPT to give us preseason SEC basketball power rankings. Here's what it came up with:

1. Texas A&M - Returning almost everyone and based on their high finish last season, they should be considered a favorite.
2. Kentucky - While they might be young, Kentucky's recruiting prowess generally means they'll always be a contender, especially with a talented backcourt.
3. Alabama - Even though they lost their two best players, their top-place finish last season can't be ignored. They will likely have had solid replacements, given the school's reputation in sports.
4. Tennessee - With a boost from recovering players and a prospective improvement, they could be a dark horse contender.
5. Auburn - If they have a stronger backcourt and good veteran experience, they could make a jump this season.
6. Arkansas - The combination of underachieving and injury issues means there's potential for a bounce-back year.
7. Florida - The fun transfer additions and a rebuild might place them in the middle of the pack with potential to surprise.
8. Mississippi State - Enhanced offense with new transfer players could provide a decent season.
