Top-10 2024 Prospect Cam Coleman Includes Kentucky in Top Eight

The wide receiver is ranked as the No. 1 player in Alabama in the 2024 class.

Kentucky football has made the cut for one of the top players in the 2024 class.

On Monday afternoon, 5-star wide receiver Cam Coleman announced his top eight schools, including UK, as well as Clemson, Florida, LSU, Florida State, Texas A&M, Auburn and Georgia:

The Phenix City Central product is ranked as the No. 10 overall player, No. 3 wide receiver and No. 1 player in Alabama, per the On3 Consensus. As a junior, he caught 31 passes for 542 yards and six touchdowns.

Auburn is the home-state frontrunner for the wideout, having welcomed him for seven visits, including an official, which came on June 13. He has also taken OVs to Texas A&M and Clemson, and has one scheduled with LSU to round out June.

Kentucky isn't expected to be a real player in the recruitment of Coleman, but the ever-growing 2024 class for head coach Mark Stoops and recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow continues to draw eyeballs to Lexington, even if it isn't consistently landing blue-chippers.

The Wildcats earned the commitment of 3-star interior offensive lineman Jadon Lafontant on Monday, making five commits for the '24 class.
