Louisville, Kentucky Mutually Agree to Postpone Tuesday's Baseball Game

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The upcoming matchup between the Louisville and Kentucky baseball programs, which was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Apr. 11 at Jim Patterson Stadium, has been postponed.
In a release sent Monday afternoon, it was announced that the two programs "made a mutual decision" to postpone the game "in light of the tragic events in Louisville on Monday." Four people were killed and nine were injured - including two Louisville Metro police officers - in a mass shooting at the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville.
Louisville said that "the two programs will work to reschedule the contest for a later date."
The Cardinals are tentatively scheduled to be back in action on this weekend when they host Wake Forest for another top-ten series at Jim Patterson Stadium. First pitch of game one is slated for Friday, Apr. 14 at 6:00 p.m. EST.
