LSU Veteran Loves What He's Seen From New-Look Offensive Line

The LSU Tigers are now in full swing with their final preparations before the official start of the Lane Kiffin era in Baton Rouge, as fall camp is well underway.

The Tigers will look to attack the final few weeks with a sense of urgency, as LSU will have to prepare for a major clash in the season opener against the Clemson Tigers. While the Tigers have plenty of moving parts still left to be settled, fall camp is the perfect opportunity to get things figured out.

And one veteran player, a part of an important position group, is talking about why he chose to return to the LSU program and how his unit is looking a few weeks away from the start of the season.

Braelin Moore Details LSU's Offensive Line Outlook

The Tigers are undoubtedly not yet rolling like a well-oiled machine by any means as Kiffin looks to bring together a lot of the talent he kept on the LSU roster and the talent that he brought in through the transfer portal.

One of the players who opted to stick around in Death Valley for the coaching change was fifth-year senior center Braelin Moore, and the veteran offensive lineman talked to the media after practice on Monday and detailed what went into his decision to stay in Baton Rouge over heading to the NFL.

"I feel like the decision was pretty easy for me; obviously I had the choice if I wanted to go to the next level," Moore said. "But there's still a lot on the table that I desire to go get: it's a national championship, a Joe Moore Award, and that's why I came back trying to go get those things."

Moore was a new face in the program not too long ago, after transferring in from Virginia Tech ahead of the 2025 season. And in his first season as a Tiger, Moore was a steady hand on the offensive line, starting 12 of the 13 games of the season at center.

And now in Moore's second year in the program, the veteran offensive lineman has become a voice of leadership in the offensive line room, which is seeing major changes as the unit will have just one other returning starter.

However, with the major changes at the position and the new coaching staff, Moore is confident in the group's ability to mesh, especially with the coaches who are in the offensive line room.

"We're surrounded by tons of high-ball knowledge," Moore said. "(Offensive line) coach (Eric) Wolford, Coach (James) Cregg, who was the O-line coach here in 2019 when they won the Joe Moore, and Coach (Na'Shan) Goddard, who played in the NFL and won two Super Bowls. We're just surrounded by so many guys who know so much about the game, and I see our group taking that step; we just got to keep building."

And not only did Moore praise the coaching staff in the room, but also some of the transfer portal additions who will be instant starters in 2026.

Moore highlighted Colorado transfer Jordan Seaton, who will be the anchor of the LSU offensive line at the left tackle spot, and Maryland transfer Aliou Bah, who will slide into the right guard position.

"When talking about (Jordan) Seaton and Aliou (Bah), you don't really need to say too much; those guys are dogs, that's why we got them here," Moore said. "Seaton is going to hold down that left side, and Aliou is going to hold that right side down. Those guys are big, powerful dudes, and I look forward to what they're going to give us."
