After a winless streak in their first four road games, the Maryland Terrapins (16-4) halted their struggles and won their last two games away from the Xfinity Center.

This past week must have made Mark Turgeon very proud. The Terrapins were heavily criticized for their underwhelming performances on the road and they were able to silence some their critics by winning their last two games on the road against Big Ten opponents.

Maryland trailed Northwestern by 14 going into halftime but completely dominated the second half, outscoring the Wildcats 51-26 to win by a final score of 77-66.

In yesterday's matchup with Indiana, the Terrapins were deadly from behind the arc. They made four 3-point jumpers to start the game that built their lead 12-3. The Hoosiers flipped the script and overcame their nine point deficit in the second half. Despite it all, Maryland's Jalen Smith was unstoppable as he made a game-winning layup to upset a re-surging Indiana team.

The Terrapins are finding ways to win games on the road now and that makes them a very dangerous team.

Maryland is well deserving of their increased rank. They will have an even bigger test as they host No. 18 Iowa (14-5) at the Xfinity Center.

Even with Maryland's jump, there were not many big changes in the latest AP Top 25 poll. The top five teams remained the same. Baylor (17-1), Gonzaga (21-1), Kansas (16-3), San Diego State (21-0), and Florida State (17-2) are the top five in their respective order.
