No. 9 Miami Women's Hoops Upsets No. 1 Indiana 70-68

The final shot bounced on the rim for what seemed to be eternity.

When it went through the net, it would be the final score of the game, resulting in a 70-68 historic upset by No. 9-seed Miami against the No. 1-seed Indiana Hoosiers.

Destiny Harden took the final shot after Indiana's Yarden Garzon hit a game-tying 3-pointer to knot the game at 68.

Harden's passion was felt in her post-game interview. She accredited assistant coach Fitzroy Anthony for the success on the last-second shot.

"Fitzroy, man, he did it again," Harden said. "He told me to face up and win the f***** game. Excuse my language, but, we're going to the Sweet 16 because of him. He believed in me, the whole coaching staff believed in me, the team believed in me... It's a very special moment for us."

Harden had 18 points in the game and five rebounds. She got into foul trouble early and had to sit for the majority of the first and second quarters.

While Harden had the shine at the end of the game, Lola Pendande was a steady scorer throughout the entire course of the game. Pendande had 12 points at the half and she finished with 19 on the night. She was also the Canes' leading rebounder with seven.

Jasmyne Roberts had the hot hand from deep, as did Harden, for both went 3-4 from 3-point land.

Speaking of the three, Miami lived by it. The Canes shot 8-14 for a 57.1% average. To contrast, the Canes held the Hoosiers to 33.3% from deep.

It was a historic night for Miami as it is only the second time in Women's basketball history that the Hurricanes have advanced to the Sweet-16. It is also the first time during the Katie Meier era.

Miami will face No. 4 Villanova on Friday for a bid at the Elite Eight
