National Football Voice Picks Michigan To Play In National Championship Against Shocking Team

In this story:
Picking Michigan to play in the national championship is a very popular pick heading into the 2023 football season. The Wolverines are coming off two straight Big Ten titles and have played in the College Football Playoff twice in a row.
It's not shocking to see predictions of Michigan facing the two-time national champion Georgia Bulldogs either -- that's probably the consensus pick right now.
But it is shocking when you see a prediction of Michigan against another SEC team not named Georgia or Alabama in the 2023 national champion
That's exactly was Fox Sport's radio voice Colin Cowherd did. Speaking with Greg McElroy on ‘Always College Football’, he picked Michigan to play LSU in the national title.
Cowherd started off by saying Texas, USC, and Michigan could all play with anybody this year, but then he transitioned to talking about the LSU Tigers and he thinks they will faceoff with the Wolverines in the CFP title.
“I have Michigan facing LSU in the championship,” Cowherd said.
He didn't pick a winner between the two teams, but it seems that Cowherd favors LSU and the SEC.
"And I think if they beat a Michigan [team] and it was a competitive game? It’d be a win for college football,” said Cowherd. “The SEC winning is not bad."
On Tuesday, Cowherd told fans on his show that he thinks Michigan has the talent to do exactly what it did a season ago -- run the table.
"My guess is they run the table," said Cowherd. "Michigan this year is the deepest and best they've ever been."
While he didn't pick the Wolverines to win the national championship, it's obvious Cowherd is another believer you can add to the list of having faith in Michigan heading into 2023.
