Blake Corum Is A Beast - Draft With Confidence

Blake Corum is going to make some NFL very happy on draft day.

Former Michigan running back Blake Corum became an absolute legend while in Ann Arbor. The 5-8, 205-pounder broke the all-time record for rushing touchdowns at U-M and really became a centerpiece for the new and improved culture under Jim Harbaugh. Corum exemplifies hard work, a blue collar mentality and putting the team first. Those are just a few of the reasons why every NFL team would love having him in the locker room.

It also doesn't hurt that Corum is a hell of a back. He was obviously incredibly productive at Michigan but also has a ton of measurable skills, which he put on display over the weekend in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. Corum paced all backs with 27 reps in the bench press, which again proves just how strong he is and how hard he works in the weight room.

He ran a 4.53 in the 40-yard dash, which is good, not great, but the NFL Network showed in some of the simulcam clips that Corum does the on-field drills when it comes to actually running the ball with more speed and more of a forward lean than other backs who may have had faster 40 times. When it comes to jump cutting, making a decision with his vision and getting upfield, Corum is elite. He's also extremely strong with the football and showed an ability to catch passes out of the backfield, which he simply didn't do much while at U-M.

Then when you throw in the fact that he's about as positive as people get, understands the level of work it takes to be successful at the highest levels and truly wants to do whatever it takes to win, you start to understand that he will almost certainly be a safe draft pick when it comes to production, culture and off-field representation. As the title says, draft Blake Corum with confidence.
