Jim Harbaugh Names Specialist Starters

In this story:
Jake Moody and Brad Robbins are already making waves in the NFL and will likely play in the league for a long time. That obviously means that Jim Harbaugh has two massively important and efficient legs to replace on some of the most crucial special teams units. While appearing on Inside Michigan Radio Show on Monday evening, Harbaugh let everyone listening know who will be doing what moving forward.
"James Turner is going to be doing the kicking; field goals and Tommy Doman is going to be the punter and Will Wagner is going to be the snapper," Harbaugh directly said. "That's the group going in.
"We'll see who eventually is going to be the kickoff guy...it could be Tommy Doman, it could be Hudson Hollenbeck."
At placekicker, Turner has done it in college before and should be able to fill in nicely for Moody. So far throughout camp, he's done enough to make Harbaugh feel good about the position.
"James Turner is talented. He can put them through the uprights. If he gets a good snap and a good hold, he's extremely accurate. That's what we've learned watching him play college football and throughout this entire offseason and in camp, he's been really accurate."
With Doman, it's just about putting it all together. He's been at Michigan for a couple of years now and is built like a scholarship quarterback or even a tight end. He really looks the part and apparently has been kicking like it too.
"Tommy Doman has got the leg," Harbaugh said. "We thought Brad Robbins could kick some bombs, then you watch Tommy bomb them and it's incredible. You watch the young punters, it's all about the rhythm, it's all about the timing for them. They've got to be in that good rhythm. When it's there [for Doman], it's a pro leg all the way."
Having Jake "The Sledgehammer" Moody bang 50-yard field goals while also booting it through the end zone on kickoffs was a luxury. Trotting a guy like Robbins out to field snaps, punt consistently and efficiently and also provide leadership was equally valuable. Now, Harbaugh has to find the right guy for each specific job, which he should be able to do with the room that he has.
