Elston, who previously coached at Notre Dame from 2010-2021, played an integral role in the Wolverines’ success the last two seasons. Now he follows Jim Harbaugh to L.A. pic.twitter.com/MQaUcoFS86
Nothing is official yet, but as these sources around the league continue to find out how Jim Harbaugh will complete his staff, it seems to be at Sherrone Moore and Michigan's expense each time.
Elston coached at Notre Dame for more than a decade and was promoted to associate head coach under Brian Kelly. Once he was passed over by Marcus Freeman for the vacant head coaching job in South Bend, he reevaluated things and returned "home" to Ann Arbor. Now, he'll stick with Harbaugh and continue to coach alongside his fellow Wolverines in L.A.
