Michigan is simply not missing anything ahead of the 2023 season and everyone knows it, including the Wolverines themselves, which makes them even more dangerous than they actually are. They start the season with four games at home, while three of them will be without Jim Harbaugh, and they get Ohio State at home. Road games at Michigan State and especially Penn State loom, but the Wolverines are going to be favored in all 12 games this year and with good reason.
Local and national media personalities alike have Michigan squarely in the mix to win the Big Ten, make the College Football Playoff and potentially win the national championship for all of the reasons listed above. When you go game by game, like CSB Sports' Josh Pate does in the video below, there aren't very many opportunities for the Wolverines to slip up. That's why Pate is as high on U-M as anyone and his breakdown is a great way to get prepared for Michigan's season, which is now just one week away.
