JJ McCarthy Continues To Receive Rave Reviews

It's going to be really interesting to see where JJ McCarthy is drafted in April after he works out and performs for teams during the combine and Michigan's pro day.

JJ McCarthy is a special football player. If you ask Jim Harbaugh, he's the best quarterback to every play at the University of Michigan. The numbers certainly seem to support that especially his incredible 27-1 win/loss record as a starter. Obviously he just led Michigan to a perfect 15-0 season and a national championship, and finished a perfect 3-0 against Ohio State.

McCarthy's numbers aren't eye popping because he simply wasn't asked to go crazy in Michigan's pro-style, run-first offense. When he needed to make a play he always seemed to and his talent absolutely jumps off the screen when you watch him. He's extremely fast and athletic even though he wasn't asked to run that much and he can literally make every throw on the field.

Because of how all of that mixed together over the course of his 28 starts, it's going to be really interesting to see how he performs during the combine and Michigan's pro day. He's likely going to test off the charts and he will absolutely blow any front office away with his personality and stellar list of intangibles. After that, it's up to the teams to decide just how high he should be drafted.

Bleacher Report's NFL Insider Jordan Schultz recently spoke about where McCarthy could go in the draft.

Whenever an analyst breaks down McCarthy's game and potential future home, the junior quarterback seems to be picked higher and higher. According to Schultz, McCarthy could go to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 11 overall. Just a few days ago, ESPN's Matt Miller slotted McCarthy in at No. 13 to the Las Vegas Raiders. Wherever McCarthy goes, he's going to make a franchise very happy, and if things continue to trend the way that they have been, it might just be in the top ten.
