Nick Eubanks Named To John Mackey Award Watch List

Ahead of the 2020 season, Michigan redshirt senior tight end Nick Eubanks was named to the John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List on Friday, an honor that is given to the “most outstanding collegiate tight end” each year.
With Sean McKeon no longer in the program, Eubanks is expected to receive the bulk of the snaps at tight end this fall. Last year, the 6-5, 256-pound Eubanks logged 25 receptions for 234 yards and four touchdowns in his 10 starts and 13 total games, eclipsing McKeon in the process as U-M's top receiving threat from the tight end position.
This fall, Eubanks should have a much more clear path to playing time as the elder statesman in the tight end room. The Wolverines will also field a combination of Erick All, Luke Schoonmaker and potentially Matthew Hibner at the position, but nobody is as qualified for the job in 2020 as Eubanks.
