No one expects a future All-American to walk through the doors when open tryouts are conducted at the highest levels of football, but you never know what kind of body or depth athlete might show up, especially at a place like Michigan. Jim Harbaugh has done this before and he's now doing it again. The entire release about the tryouts can be read below.

The University of Michigan football team will be holding a tryout for eligible students interested in earning a spot on the 2023 spring football roster.

Tryout participants must be active undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled at the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus. Individuals must be in good standing with the University of Michigan and must meet all NCAA eligibility standards to be considered for an opportunity. Participants cannot be more than six years removed from high school.

All interested, eligible students must email 2023fbtryout@umich.edu from a valid umich.edu email address before noon on Saturday, Jan. 7, to receive information on necessary forms and medical paperwork required for tryout participation.
