A New Uniform Combination?

A behind-the-scenes photo has surfaced showing a never-worn uniform combination for the Wolverines.

College football fans love (or hate) changes to their team's uniforms. Michigan fans, especially, get worked up in all directions whenever their favorite, iconic uniform is altered even a little bit.

Since Jim Harbaugh arrived at Michigan, the Wolverines have switched to the Jordan brand, added a slightly new finish to the helmets and replaced all of the white hardware on said helmets with dark, navy blue fixtures. An all-blue combination for big, home games has also become pretty standard under Harbaugh.

We've also seen several iterations of the uniform when it comes to the accessories worn. In 2021, Harbaugh and Co. wanted to wear all maize at Penn State. When James Franklin and Co. shot the combination down, the Wolverines countered with more maize accessories than we've ever seen.

Recently, a picture surfaced showing rising sophomore cornerback Will Johnson sporting a clean looking combo that we haven't seen in a game under Harbaugh.

Obviously this is just a shot from practice, but this combination is too clean to keep off the field. The white pants with the stripes really pops with the home navy blue jersey. We've seen a couple of other combinations from recruiting photoshoots that we also haven't seen during a game, but this is one I hope makes the cut for the 2023 campaign.
