Michigan Football: Ohio's Top Prospect Is Visiting Ann Arbor

The top prospect in the 2024 class is currently in Ann Arbor for his official visit at Michigan. Aaron Scott, the No. 1 ranked prospect in the state of Ohio and the No. 3 cornerback in the nation, arrived in Ann Arbor last night and will spend Friday on campus.

Although Scott recently placed Penn State, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio State and Michigan in his Top-5, most believe that the real battle is between the Wolverines and the Buckeyes with his recruitment - with Ohio State currently holding the edge. If Michigan can find a way to steal the elite prospect from his home state of Ohio, it would be a major win for Jim Harbaugh and his staff.

Prior to the last two seasons, the idea that Michigan would even be a contender for someone like Scott was far-fetched at best. However, after two dominant wins over the Buckeyes, two straight Big Ten Championships and two consecutive trips to the College Football Playoff, the Wolverines are now a serious contender to land some of the top talent from the state of Ohio. For evidence, look no further than Jordan Marshall - the highest rated running back in Ohio, a kid that the Buckeyes wanted badly, and he's now committed to Michigan.
