UPDATE: Michigan Football Favored To Land Big-Time Transfer Portal Prospect

After a two-day visit in Ann Arbor last week, it looks like the Michigan Wolverines are favored to land a key transfer portal target.

It's a big week for the Michigan Football program, just days after hosting a big-time transfer portal target in Ann Arbor. First reported by Josh Henschke of the Maize and Blue Review, Michigan hosted cornerback Josh Wallace from Thursday to Friday of last week.

Earlier this week, Wallace announced via his social media accounts that he would be announcing his decision on Wednesday - and plenty of experts believe if will be Michigan.

Wallace, a 6-0, 190 pound senior out of UMass, recorded 41 tackles (32 solo, nine assisted), 3.0 TFL (four yards), a fumble recovery, two interceptions, and eight pass breakups during the 2022 season. The veteran corner also served as a team captain for two of his four years with the Minutemen.

Although Michigan has a loaded roster heading into the 2023 season, there is still a big question mark at one of the cornerback positions opposite Will Johnson. There was some early buzz surrounding sophomore wideout-turned-corner Amorion Walker as a possible starter at the position, but it became clear during the spring game that he still needs time to develop in that role.

Bringing in a veteran corner like Wallace would seemingly secure the final puzzle piece to what should be a national-championship caliber roster in 2023.
