For the first time in a long time, Michigan has won its most recent matchup against both Michigan State and Ohio State in basketball and football. Obviously Michigan beat up on Ohio State last year, but unfortunately fell to the Spartans in East Lansing. So many years before that, the Buckeyes dominated the Wolverines on the gridiron.

But right now, Michigan is on the top of the mountain against both Sparty and the Bucks, and man does that feel good.

Football

10/29/22 - Michigan 29, Michigan State 7

Unfortunately, the game was marred by the events in the tunnel afterward, but the Wolverines handled MSU and won by more than three touchdowns. Michigan running back Blake Corum ran for 177 yards and scored twice, while Jake Moody did what Jake Moody does and made five field goals in the win.

11/26/22 - Michigan 45, Ohio State 23

For the second year in row, Michigan beat up on Ohio State, and this time it was in Columbus and in spectacular fashion. JJ McCarthy connected on several deep-ball touchdowns and Donovan Edwards carried the ball 22 times for 216 yards and two long touchdowns in Corum's absence. When the game was over, Michigan players were planting a giant Block M flag at the 50-yard line of The Shoe and working toward a second straight Big Ten title.

Basketball

2/5/23 - Michigan 77, Ohio State 69

Michigan's big man Hunter Dickinson recorded his 24th career double-double with a very impressive 26 points and 11 rebounds as the Wolverines led wire to wire against Ohio State. Jett Howard poured in 16 points and canned two 3-pointers, while Kobe Bufkin added 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds and doled out five assists.

Just a couple of days ago, Michigan brought the season series to even after an impressive win in Ann Arbor. It was a very emotional evening in Ann Arbor after the tragic shooting in East Lansing last Monday, but eventually the game did tip off and the Wolverines took it to Sparty. Five Wolverines scored in double figures, including Joey Bakers off the bench. It was a nice sign for the Wolverines who were down by three at the half because they've had trouble closing out tight games. They did on Saturday and now own wins against both rivals in both sports in their most recent matchups.
