How Michigan Stacks Up Nationally, Within The Big Ten Since Harbaugh's Return

After years of lackluster seasons under former head coaches Rich Rodriguez (2008-10) and Brady Hoke (2011-14), Michigan landed the hottest coaching commodity on the market back in 2015: Jim Harbaugh.
Prior to Michigan, Harbaugh helped build the Stanford football program into a national powerhouse. He then accepted his first head coaching position in the NFL with San Francisco, where he helped lead the 49ers to a pair of NFC Championships and a trip to Super Bowl XLVII. At the conclusion of the 2014 season, it was clear Harbaugh was likely on his way out in San Francisco, and he was also the leading candidate for the vacant head coaching position in Ann Arbor. With the stars seemingly aligned for a homecoming at the right place and right time, Harbaugh accepted the offer from former AD Jim Hackett and became the 20th head coach in Michigan Football history.
Since his return, few college football programs in the country have racked up more wins than Harbaugh and the Wolverines. Here's where Michigan stacks up against the Big Ten conference and nationally since 2015.
