JUST IN: Michigan Wide Receiver Entering Transfer Portal

After three seasons in Ann Arbor, Michigan's AJ Henning announced that he is entering the transfer portal on Monday.
Henning, a former four-star wide receiver recruit, had flashes of greatness during his time at Michigan, but was never able to fully insert himself into the mix on a consistent basis. He'll finish his Michigan career as a two-time All-Big Ten selection as a return man (second team, coaches and media, 2022; third team, coaches and media, 2021),three-year letterman (2020-21-22), the teams Special Teams Player of the Year (2022), and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2021, '22).
Henning appeared in 33 career games at wide receiver with three starts, and made 24 appearances as a punt returner and three as a kick returner.

"I would like to thank God for the blessings and opportunities bestowed upon me at the University of Michigan," wrote Henning. I appreciate Coach Harbaugh and his staff for the opportunity to play for this University. To my teammates, who are now my brothers - thank you for lifelong memories forged here. My sincerest gratitude to the fans for the endless support during my playing time at the University of Michigan. Being a Michigan Man has taught me things far beyond the football field and I will carry that with me for life. With that being said, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal. Go Blue forever!"
