Big Ten Football: Predicting Every Big Ten Final Score In Week 12

In this story:

All 14 Big Ten teams are in action once again this weekend. Not many 'big' games this weekend but there are a few that have implications on the line.

Michigan is looking to win the program's 1,000 victory on Saturday against Maryland and if both Ohio State and the Wolverines take care of business -- next weekend's showdown will be for all the marbles.

Iowa has all but won the Big Ten West this season. The Hawkeyes are hoping to gain some more offensive momentum before they have to play either Michigan or the Buckeyes.

The nightcap this weekend is a pair of 5-5 teams with bowl eligibility on the line for both Wisconsin and Nebraska.

Trent's SU win/loss record through 10 weeks: 76-15

Michigan vs. Maryland -- Noon ET

Michigan is coming off of an emotional win a week ago over Penn State. The Wolverines didn't have their head coach Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines after being suspended less than 24 hours prior to the game. It's not clear yet if Harbaugh will be coaching against Maryland, but I don't think it will matter in this one. Michigan has much more talent than Maryland and the Wolverines know what's on the line. QB Taulia Tagovailoa could present some issues but the Wolverines' defense has been too good this season to think anything different.

Michigan 38, Maryland 10

Rutgers vs. Penn State -- Noon ET

Penn State fired its offensive coordinator after another sluggish offensive game by Drew Allar and Co. While the Nittany Lions' offense hasn't been up to par, the defense is really good. In the past two games, Rutgers has scored a combined 16 points and it's hard to believe the Scarlet Knights will be able to do much of anything against the PSU defense. I don't look for Penn State to score a ton of points, but it should get the job done at home.

Penn State 24, Rutgers 6

Michigan State vs. Indiana -- Noon ET

Indiana has been much better on offense in recent games. The Hoosiers have scored 45, 20, and 24 points, respectively. The Indiana offense combined with its decent defense should spell trouble for Michigan State. The Spartans struggle to find the end zone and will probably lose a close game on Saturday.

Indiana 24, Michigan State 17

Purdue vs. Northwestern -- Noon ET

David Braun was announced as the official head coach for Northwestern and he has the Wildcats playing tough. Northwestern is second in the West and it's on the cusp of winning six games. The Boilermakers can move the ball, but turnovers have haunted Purdue all season. I don't expect that to change in Evanston this weekend.

Northwestern 21, Purdue 20

Illinois vs. Iowa -- 3:30 p.m. ET

Illinois has been moving the ball really well as of late which is why it's won the last three out of four games. But it's hard to move the ball on that Iowa defense. The Hawkeyes continue to be stout on the defensive side of the ball and lack production on the offensive side -- but scoring 22 points against Rutgers is a welcomed sign.

Iowa 17, Illinois 6

Minnesota vs. Ohio State -- 4:00 p.m. ET

The Ohio State offense is clicking and the Minnesota defense is not. The Buckeyes know what's at stake if they beat the Gophers on Saturday. A likely undefeated showdown in Ann Arbor awaits Ohio State next weekend.

Ohio State 35, Minnesota 10

Nebraska vs. Wisconsin -- 7:30 p.m. ET

Bowl eligibility is at stake for both teams and both programs need to get off their respective losing streak. Nebraska has dropped two games in a row and the Badgers have lost three straight. I can see either team winning here, but Wisconsin is usually competent at home. I think the Badgers will win a close one.

Wisconsin 20, Nebraska 17
