Michigan basketball signed just one player in the 2023 class -- four-star guard George Washington. It was a good get for the Wolverines, but with all the attrition that took place, Michigan needs to add multiple players in the 2024 class.

As things stand now, the maize and blue have two point guards committed in the class: four-star Christian Anderson and three-star Durral Brooks.

The Wolverines are in on several five-star recruits in '24. Michigan received news that it made the top group for two of those five-star recruits.

Boogie Fland

Michigan made the top eight for the five-star combo guard. Fland has taken an official visit to Michigan and by all accounts -- it went great.

The White Plains (New York) Archbishop Stepinac product is the No. 8 recruit in the country according to the Composite. He has good height to play either the '1' or '2' standing at 6-foot-3.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Michigan leads for Fland. The Wolverines are leading with a 26.2% chance to land him. Both Indiana and North Carolina are right on the Wolverines' heels.

Flory Bidunga

The other five-star player Michigan made the top group for was center, Flory Bidunga. The Wolverines will be competing with Kansas, Duke, and Auburn to land the 6-foot-8 center.

The Kokomo (Indiana) player is the No. 4 recruit in the country according to the Composite. He is the top-ranked center.

Michigan may be behind the eight ball to land the center though. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Wolverines have a 2.4% chance to get him. Duke is in the lead for Bidunga. But the way Juwan Howard likes to use centers, Bidunga will have to seriously consider the Wolverines.
