In this story:

Michigan received some good news and bad news on Saturday.

The good news: it appears Jim Harbaugh is set to coach the entire 2023 football season.

The bad news: Michigan lost one of its prized 2024 recruits to Miami (FL).

Hayes Fawcett broke the news of four-star Edge Elias Rudolph de-committing from Michigan and committing to the 'Canes.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Edge defender was a four-star recruit by the Composite. He was ranked 292nd in the country and the 21st-ranked Edge.

Talking with Fawcett on On3, Rudolph said he chose Miami "for the people". He felt like the Hurricanes would turn things around do "do it big" the way he wanted.

“I chose Miami for the people! The coaches and all the staff I just went there and felt the vibe! And man Coach Jason Taylor he is real as a coach and a man and I just felt like he could help take me where I wanted to go! Coach Cristobal and D Train, those are my guys! It was just the people that made me feel like Miami was gonna turn this thing around and do it big like I wanted to do it.”

The Wolverines still have four Edge recruits committed in 2024, but the way things are starting to go for Michigan in the '24 cycle -- this isn't good.
