#1 Michigan State PG Cassius Winston Talks #2 Kentucky & Champions Classic

The #1 team in America is right here in East Lansing and of course, we are talking about the Michigan State Spartans and their Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo.

The Spartans kick off the season on November 5 at 9:30 PM in New York. The Spartans will be taking on the #2 Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic. No doubt that the nation’s attention is already looking at the critical first game of the year heavyweight fight. The game can be seen on ESPN.

So as I write this the Spartans are in the air flying to Gotham for this matchup. The Spartans are certainly excited, but Tom Izzo knows that it is a long season ad he purposely schedules as hard as he does so that he can learn all of his team’s warts early, and get them ready for March. It is pure brilliance.

The Spartans are led by the player of the year and the most dynamic player in all of college basketball in the great Cassius Winston. This stage is NOT too big for him and he will have the Spartans ready. The question is NOT if he can handle the speed and athleticism of the Wildcat guards, it is if they can contain him.
