And according to Fox College Hoops, they are one of ten teams with a winning record against ranked opponents in the last decade.

The Spartans were seventh on the list featuring a 55% winning percentage against other ranked schools.

Last month, Tom Izzo earned Coach of the Decade Honors from a panel of Big Ten Network experts.

He was picked over former and current Big Ten coaches Thad Matta (OSU), Matt Painter (Purdue), Bo Ryan (Wisconsin), and John Beilein (Michigan).

In the decade, Michigan State won 27 games eight out of ten times and qualified for the NCAA tournament each year.

The Spartans appeared in three Final Fours, won four Big Ten regular-season titles, and four Big Ten Tournament titles.

During April of 2016, Izzo was inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, where he chose Gary Williams (former Maryland HC) to introduce him at the ceremony.
