Answering your Michigan State Football Questions and Emails…
As we've debated many times, the recruiting rankings continue to get it wrong. Here is my question. If the 3rd Allen (Matt) is as good as his older brothers were at this point in HS, doesn't that make him one of the top OL prospects in the country? Mike in GR
Yes.
Hondo, I believe winter workouts were changed from 0500a to 1600 hrs. and I didn’t hear the players clamoring how hard it was, whereas last winter it seemed to be the theme from the players. Complacency? Easier by design? Reward? Or, am I reading too much into it? Dan from Chicago
Wasn’t easier at all. They went at it differently, but trust me, when I say differently, it doesn’t equate to easier at all.
How is the team reacting to Kings practicing? There was certainly some indications, from you and others, that the handling of this situation would be...how did you put it- telling? Joe Polasek
I think that until we see how the Delton Williams situation is handled, that can’t be fully answered so I won’t. It is going to be very interesting to see how Mark Dantonio handles discipline of players moving forward.
In your last article a man asked for help from all of you on how to help his son who is a Wolverine fan. WOW did you have some ideas: As for the young man who wants to be a Wolverine, do what is practiced in Singapore: Cane him and send him to prison on bread and water for three months. At least the rivalry will be intense. Have a good laugh! Jim McClain
Do we have a list of young men who redshirted in 2014? Keith Srebinski
Yes. You can find it when you go CLICK RIGHT HERE and simply look at the roster and it will provide for you the entire team’s eligibility.
In your Football Q&A of 2/19/15, you said that if healthy, the Spartan O Line would be the best of the Dantonio era. How far back would you need to go to find one as good as or better than the 2015 group? Thanks! Doug
Not prepared to answer that. I am only willing to comment on the Dantonio era as a matter of what I think is factual. This WILL BE the best of his era if healthy without any doubt.
Hi Hondo, Question: I noticed that Damion Terry didn't play in the spring game and that he's been pretty frequently injured. Is he injury prone? Thanks, Dave
I do not believe he is. With that being said, staying healthy is the only way to prove me right.
Semiannual DeAnthony question: Is he going to see the field or has the light never come on for him? Thanks buddy! Jeff
I never make a prediction about Arnett. What is fair to say is that he is working harder than he ever has and with the top two WRs being question marks at best for being able to be a true #1, he is in his best spot yet. It’s up to him.
