I don’t think so. If paperwork has not been signed, he is a free agent. With all of the advantages schools have, I don’t think a kid is stuck. Young men are made promises all the time and when they want to transfer, the coach he signed with can dictate where he goes and so much more. Used to be an unwritten rule among coaches who were friends, but that does not exist anymore.

Hi Hondo, A revenue question. My understanding is with bowl games all revenues from the bowl itself and TV networks, minus participant’s expenses, goes to the B1G where it is then divided equally among members. So I wonder about regular season games like this Saturday evening against Nebraska. Does ABC pay MSU and UN or does that revenue go to the B1G as with bowl games? As the Spartans have improved in recent years we are getting more prime-time coverage so I hope there is a direct financial benefit in addition to the exposure. Thanks, Tim in California

Hondo, During the post-game press conference after the Nebraska game, I "think" Coach Pelini loudly proclaimed to the media something to the effect of, "We (Nebraska) ran on them (MSU). We ran on them last year and we'll run on them again." I attributed his statements to the post game intensity lingering. Nevertheless, they were very bold statements. They were also very true. Nebraska's offense has had MSU's defense figured out. I'm sure MSU's staff and players are aware of Coach Pelini's proclamations? Dan from Chicago

It was after last year’s game and he told the truth. MSU is very aware of it. Just check out the cover of the latest Spartan Nation Magazine WHEN YOU CLICK RIGHT HERE. It is a fact. Probably better not to say because it has become a rally cry for MSU this week, but I don’t think he was speaking wrongly.

Hondo, what is up with your hate of Bo Pelini? Did he sleep with your wife? Did he sleep with your daughter? Did he say he would sleep with you? Does this mean I am not getting a Christmas card Chris? Do you need a hug? I bet your mommy didn't hug you! I don’t hate Bo at all. I think Nebraska is an elite place, and he is not an elite coach. Winning Saturday wouldn’t make him one, but would certainly propel him in that direction. I am sure he is a great father and husband. Unlike the ignorant and uneducated in our society who can’t have a discussion without personal insult, I keep my Bo comments on football. Please spend lots of money when in East Lansing. P.S. Dantonio is my friend, but not my boy. My two sons are Hondo, Jr. and Duffy.

Hondo, as a lifelong Husker I wanted to drop a note and say that although I disagree with you on Bo Pelini, I find the respect you have always shown Nebraska since before we even joined the Big Ten both refreshing and kind. I have caught you twice on national radio and even listened to your radio show with streaming and you say those things outside of our state. Be blessed. Tim in Oxford, NE

Thanks Brent. Abdullah is the best player in college football, and Armstrong is a good young QB with an amazing future. He can’t just hand off. Doesn’t have to be Tommie Frazier (who is that good), but he has to impact the game with +8 in the positive plays department. Can he? Yes. Will he? The MSU D will have a lot to say about that.

True. I agree the MSU defense is not as good, but it’s not like they are Indiana. They are still a top tier unit and the MSU offense IS top tier.
