Breaking News from Spartan Nation:Â Moments Ago On Spartan Nation Radio 2014 RB Madre London Commits to MSU!

Florida produced the greatest running back in MSU history, Lorenzo White. Michigan State is hoping that their latest Lauderdale commitment, running back, Madre London is another special one.

Moments ago on Spartan Nation Radio with Hondo S. Carpenter, Sr. London declared his intentions to the nation.Â

London’s picked the Spartans over his final list of Nebraska, Wisconsin and Illinois. At one point, Arkansas, Pitt and Rutgers and Florida State were all in the mix. In Mateen Cleaves fashion, London told Spartan Nation Radio host Hondo Carpenter that he chose “the university of Michigan State.”

At 6’1” and 205 pounds, Madre London has the college ready intangibles right now. Playing high school ball in talent-rich South Florida makes his gaudy yardage that much more impressive because he is doing it against good high school defenses.

London spoke glowingly about the MSU football coaches and cited it as the reason why he chose the Spartans. “The coaching staff is tremendous. They were straight up and very honest.”

London is not a big slasher; he prefers to put a foot in the ground and get North and South.  His signature move is more of a skip-step allowing him to run through would-be defenders by absorbing the initial contact. He is an impressive receiver out of the backfield.  Much like Reggie Bush, he catches the ball fluidly and has the ability to take it the distance anytime he touches the rock.

Here are Madre’s 2012 highlights.

After watching London’s highlight film, you will be most impressed with his patience and his ability to set up defenders by changing speeds. He is deceptively fast. When he gets into the open field you’ll notice that the length of his stride increases and he just pulls away from people as he accelerates. He is noticeably smooth and glides through traffic effortlessly.

Upon the conclusion of his interview on Spartan Nation Radio, Madre had this say about his recent MSU commitment and why he thinks he is Big Ten ready. “I run hard. I’ve got good speed. I can make people miss. First of all, I’m going to bring a winning attitude to Michigan State.”

Welcome to the Spartan Nation Madre London. GO GREEN!
