Spartan Nation Train Continues to Roll: Mark Dantonio Adds Another BIG Time Recruit: OL Gavin Cupp, the 7th From Ohio In This Class
The Michigan State Spartans recruit train picked up another member last night and just like the previous 12 for this class, #13 was a gem. In fact, there is nothing unlucky about this #13. Gavin Cupp the massive 6’7†280 pound lineman is an athletic specimen from Leipsic, OH and he pledged to Michigan State last night.
Cupp is so versatile that you can see him running with the ease of TE on the offensive line. His great hands allow him to lock on a DT and own the point of attack. Perhaps the best thing about his game is his feet. It is very difficult for men of his size to move laterally or even backing up with the size, strength and speed of today’s DE and Cupp has no problems. Watching film where he dominates at the high school level, you see him getting out often blocking two or three guys on one play down the field. Not just on rushing plays, but passing plays as well. He plays angry.

With his commitment there is little doubt that this is shaping up to be not only Dantonio’s best recruiting class ever, but OL without a doubt. With several more high profile MSU targets making decisions in the near future, and many of them clearly listing MSU at or near the top of their choices, this train isn’t losing any steam soon.
