With Four Highly Sought After Defensive Recruits in 100 Hours: Dantonio Declares, “Fearsome4SomeComplete†As 2016 Class Now Stands at 18.
At the pace the Spartans are presently trending on for the 2016 recruiting class, Mark Dantonio and his staff could be completed with the entire 2016 class prior to kickoff of the 2015 season. That is not only unprecedented around college football; it is unheard of in East Lansing.
After a 100 hour stint concluding yesterday that saw four nationally coveted defenders pick the green and white Dantonio Tweeted out his joy with the hashtag, “#Fearsome4SomeComplete.â€
The weekend started with a pledge from Josh King from Darien, IL an athletic DE with superior agility. At 6’6†and 245 pounds the young man brings an aggressive attack mentality to the game and with an unyielding motor.
The Dantonio train kept rolling when Auston Robertson of Fort Wayne, IN, another DE that brings the bookend hammer to that critical edge of the Spartans defensive scheme pledged to the Spartans. That gave MSU bookend DEs with the athleticism of Shilique Calhoun AND the work ethic of Marcus Rush.
That would have been a solid weekend, well not in East Lansing. Dantonio’s mantra of reach higher kept going.
Next to commit in what was an amazing 100 hour window was Mike Panasiuk DT Rosselle, IL. While not has heralded as the others, make no mistake he is as talented. The young Panasiuk has terrific balance, and hand eye coordination that gives interior offensive lineman fits.
Finally the Dantonio train came to a halt in the station with another high sought after DL star. Naquan Jones is a stud DT out of Evanston, IL who like King possesses tremendous athleticism and balance. He is always on the attack. The interesting part of Jones game is that as he has gotten bigger and taken up more space, his hand coordination has grown as well. He shows an uncanny ability to use brute force strength, while shedding offensive lineman in space with his hands. At 6’4†and 285 pounds Jones hasn’t even started his senior year of high school and is already a big time college football body.
