Around the SEC: Alabama Softball Player Reaches Incredible Milestone During Home Game

After leading the team to a 3-2 Super Regional victory over Northwestern, Montana Fouts' 100th career victory put her name on a list of top pitchers in the University of Alabama's history.
Alongside Shelley Laird and Kelsi Dunne, Fouts is one of three pitchers in Alabama history to record 100 victories. These three standouts also recorded 1,000 strikeouts in a single career.
Laird's career (1999-2002) set numerous all-time pitching records at Alabama, including 115 wins.
Dunne pitched for Alabama from 2008-2011. She’s holds the program’s all-time strikeout record with a whopping 1,219 K's.
Since Fouts is in her final year of eligibility at the university, it is unlikely that she will break either of these records. However, she enters the Women’s College World Series with 100 wins and 1,177 strikeouts.
Throughout the 2023 season, Fouts has appeared in 40 games with 29 starts. Her career high was set in a game against Georgia Southern in which she threw 16 strikeouts.
